Default restrictor pill issues....

Okay well if you remember my previous post about over boosting it turned out i had a broken vacum like to my boost solenoid hooked it back up and only got 7lbs.So after talking to nick a local tuner he mentioned i may not have the pill for my car so i ordered the entire kit and started putting it on.I went online looked at a few pics and i put the pill right after the turbo before the T like its done factory but still only 7lbs.Tried to reset my ecu by pulling the negative battery off and still nothing.I searched around again and i found a picture saying something about another restrictor right before the stock bc?? Could that be causing this?? Any insight would be great.

An easier fix would have been an aftermarket EBCS (gm, grimmspeed, perrin, prodrive, etc) and a reflash tune... they dont require restrictor pills (if tuned correctly)

Your BCS could just be bad and not sending signals to your ECU so its just running of WG pressure.

actually this was a very simple thing and the entire kit only cost me 13 bucks.I thought about just getting a EBCS but i figured id rather just try and fix it but i may be looking into them again....

I've had good success with my Grimmspeed, really easy install. Also Import Image sells them pretty cheap.

The restrictor pill isn't going to fix you boosting at only 7psi. It stops the turbo from overboosting.

thats true but if your missing the pill the car will not boost over 7lbs it puts the car in safe mode.I have researched it alot believe me without the pill your car will do this haha

I have seen a few bad stock EBCS, very few, but when they fail it only runs 7 psi...

There should be plenty of people with stockers to give/loan/sell you.

If you don't use the restrictor pill the car will overboost not underboost.

Well at least you found the culprit.
