Can't remember the exact diameter, I just bought several sizes (like $.10 ea) from 3/4" to 1.5". Use the rubber version, it's thinner than the nylon.

I had the same problem with my Kartboy SS. Vibration in 5th at HWY speeds was annoying. I went to ACE Hardware and bought several nylon and rubber circular anti rattle thingies. I found that the rubber version fit down perfectly under the cup and no more rattle. I also used marine bearing grease so there would be no friction (no KY jokes please 
).
).Update: I have not noticed any additional gear whine/vibrations while cruising at highway speeds.
