Default Whats with STi Insurance??

I called my insurance company today for S&G and asked for a couple quotes.
Compared to what Im paying now, here are the rates for a 09 Nissan GT-R and a 09 Corvette.

* 2009 Nissan GT-R $5.76 cheaper per year than what Im paying for my 07 STi
* 2009 Chevy Corvette $160.00 cheaper per year than what Im paying for my 07 STi

I pay $1764.00 per year for the STi.

Should have gotten a quote on an Evo. It would have made you feel a little better. The truth is that a lot of comprehensive claims are put on Imprezas (read: accidents) therefore are more expensive to insure.

When I was 18, I applied for insurance coverage (calling my car a "marketing expense"), and got a written quote for around $1,400/YEAR for a 993 Twin Turbo. I had a C230 Kompressor at the time, lol... I only wished for the 993

I was quoted $450 a month with good student discount and all the other discounts I could get back when I had the subaru.

So I registered myself in my dad's old porsche for $150 a month.

I guess I shouldn't complain that I'm paying $147.00 a month for my 07 STi. *LOL*
