what size bolt?
hey on the vf39 the oil pipe on the bottom of the turbo is held by two bolts 
thats not my turbo or pic but thats the same thing im tring to figure out. are these hard to replace and what size are they?

I don't know if that has a gasket, as I don't think I've ever taken it off... but, what I would do is take it off (if you must), go to ACE hardware and find the size on a bolt chart, and put it back together with non-serviceable locktite.
not that i must take it off, its that this guy who wants to sell me his vf39 is missing the bolts and the piece is already off so idk if thats bad or not and i didnt even think about a gasket. whats a non-serviceable locktite?

I'd go with racer x take it to ACE and match the bolt up or take it to subie tech and have them order It but for sure they'll overcharge and the oil line definitely has a gasket you need to get it. Are you getting a twin scroll like that one? That would be hella nice...

thanks for the info though...seems like a unneeded headache to find all necessary parts. i might just try and find a different turbo/seller.

any hardware store will have the bolt. you will want to replace the gasket as well. you can order that at the dealer. might as well check the price of the bolt while you are at the dealer also. might be just easier to order everything at the dealer

well thats the only thing i noticed when i checked it out. no shaft play or damaged on any blades i could see. but it was extremely dirty and the guy was telling me how he never boosted past 15 but once...then went on to tell me he blew his tranny 2 or 3 times. then tells me how he hunted down m3's evos and 350z all the time....but he never boosted past 15. just seemed sketchy.
