Default Not making the power

I dont want to say too much before I track the car next Thursday, I figure then I will see my 1/4 time to make sure I'm making the power I should be. But I decided to do a 3rd/4th gear pull with my buddy's 07 limited, and although he did not jump ahead, he was pretty even with me until i hit 4th gear, in which I finally start creeping away. His STI is bone stock.

Could me having a full tank of gas and a passenger really make that much of a difference? I know his gearing is better but damn!

Thanks for the input.
