If you have after market wheels then all they have to give you is the replacement cost of 1 factory wheel. They are not going to cover an aftermarket wheel unless you have an endorsement to cover them. Hopefully you have additional coverage for customparts/equpment but it sounds as if you don't.

then why would they say they would give me 450, to replace the one wheel, when it is valued at that amount? i highly doubt a factory 02 wheel is 450.

so either A)they can sort of fix the bent one, but i will have a bad vibration at high speeds or B)they pay for one new wheel, which wont match. either way i'm having to pay for the other guys mistake. i dont have the money for 3 other wheels, nor do i want to have to always have two hands on my steering wheel when i decide to go on the highway.

You'd be quite surprised how much factory wheels cost.

Call mastro and ask them how much that wheel is brand new. Stock wheels are very expensive from the dealer. My advice is to call your adjuster, explain the situation and maybe they will just give you the $450......then you can cover the difference in replacing the aftermarket wheel.

Also, they will not even attempt to fix that bent wheel....tto much liability. They will just replace it.

this is not being covered by my insurance, his. so me having coverage on any parts under my insurance has nothing to do with this. it was completely the other drivers fault

even if they gave me the 450 i'm still screwed. 450 isnt going to buy me 4 wheels.

If you have the coverage through your insurance, with written proof, it will give you more ground to stand on to get it covered by the at-fault's insurance company.

Insurance companies love to screw you out of paying full, therefore you need to put up a fight and get as much as possible out of them.

oh I'm putting up a fight, I contacted the insurance company and now just waiting for a call back so I can talk directly to them, not through the dealership.

um actually it does because your policy can payout even though you were not at fualt. but hey what do I know

If the at fault parties insurance co is refusing to pay what you feel is fair and you don't agree, then I would say get a lawyer and maybe they will settle out to avoid additional costs. But legally all they have to do is replace the one damaged wheel or the cost of a replacement.
