Default 06 headlight condensation????

So ive spoken to a rep at Mastro about this problem about my headlights building up condensation (specifically in my right headlight) and it looks like crap when it dry's up with a bunch of waterspots. They told me that it is NOT a defect and it is common due to the rapid weather changes drastically from being cold (wet) to hot and back and forth.

Also if anyone was wondering my headlights are NOT cleared, painted, etc. and i have never messed with my headlights or taken them out.

Is anyone else besides Sloobaru and i are having this issue?

Thanks,

Niko

I remember a similar problem with the bugeyes. Just open them up and clear them is the best advice I can give.

i do not think that its normal. my friend just bought his limited sti two weeks ago at mastro. theres condensation in the headlights and he called mastro to tell them.. they told him its normal. well its not normal to have water in your headlights, sorry. so hes getting new headlights put in under warranty. call and complain.

Ya, that is NEVER normal. I love when service people do that. I have a SRT Caliber as a DD and the fog lights are warrantied for cracking and mine clearly has one. The service chick sold me that the 1/2" crack is actually a "mold mark" from when they made it. I gave her credit for saying it with a straight face though. I let it go because of creativity a guts. LOL. I'll get with her when it eventually cracks through.

get it warrantied, laugh in their face when they tell you it's normal. If it was normal, they wouldn't go to such great lengths to seal the headlights from the factory!!

well i know service writers use the excuse that condensation builds up because of the headlights being vented.. thats there only excuse, but its not good enough.
