Default Engine Trouble under boost

Thursday night I was coming home from the gym & when the car gets under boost I lose a cylinder. I'm pretty sure it's the front right, because I did a spark plug swap & 3 out of 4 were the same, but the front right had deposits & seemed glazed. I was thinking the plug swap solved the problem, but it remains. Any suggestions?

Also I'm running a Hydra, so doing a code scan with the ODB2 isn't an option unless I swap the factory ecu back in.

I also have a Garret G35 turbo, Perrin Front mount, down pipe, intake & fuel rails, Apex cat back, PE 850cc injectors... blah blah blah... I can't think of any other info that would be useful.

Any help or ideas would be appreciated. I'm now thinking it could be a bad coil, but don't want to just keep doing the part swap thing due to costs.

Thanks
Dave

you need to find a local with a coil that you can borrow. Swap it, try it, see if that works. Post up your results...

do a compression test also... well you can borrow one of my coils if you need to if your compression test comes back good

^I agree, but I'd do the coil swap first because of how quick it is

well compression test involves just taking out the spark plug

I know lol, and I guess it would be better to do the comp test first because if he's guessing wrong about the cyl that's missing, it's going to be more work.

I don't think I have a gauge to check compression. My dad may have one, but he's a Corvette guy & not the biggest fan of metric. I'm not thinking it's the rings or anything, because I'm not seeing any fluids passing through anywhere... I actually drained the oil after messing with the plugs to install a Fumoto valve & it seemed cool.

My old man messes with race motors, so I trust his judgement & he thinks the compression is fine. He mentioned it seems like an electrical problem because it's more difficult for the spark to handle the more dense fuel supply of the boosted cylinder. If it's not the coil, my next guess is an injector problem, but we'll see...

I'd appreciate being able to use your coil blacksti, but wouldn't want your car crippled in the process. I've got to do some family stuff tomorrow, when would work well for you?

Is the car idling rough? Pull out the coil pack in question and see if there is a difference in idle.

Low RPMs aren't bad, it's just high revs in boost condition. I've actually been driving it & just shifting around 4 grand. The car feels normal doing this. Plenty of power, no issues.
