i can't say anything about the track(atleast drag) removing that much weight from right on top of the wheel definitely makes a large improvement, responsive wise.

well its not so much the weight itself as it is the weight distribution. when i got my car cornerbalanced, the best they could get my car was front left 65lbs heavier than front right. now with aftermarket headers on, no front bumper beam (or JDM) and ltw battery.... would definitely make it much closer to being balanced.

Regardless of the sport - drag, time attack, autox, rally...etc. Every pound you can shave helps

Just do like the domestic guys, bumper beams what is that? who needs a front swaybar. These large chunks of metal are not needed who has a torch?

It really depends on how extreme you want to go on weight reduction. A light weight battery is really a nice uncompromising mod to loose weight.

and go to smaller brakes, that saves weight too.... I know I went up 4lbs per corner when I did the BBK on my car.
