Frank (Racer_X) had a small carbon fiber battery that was pretty cool...not sure how much it weighed though.

The two that I would recommend are DEKA and odyssey.

stay away from Braille, it's absolutely nothing more than a re-stickered DEKA EXT series.

I would go with the DEKA EXT myself (it's a powersports battery). For the money you'd spend on one odyssey battery, you can get a 15lb and a 6.2lb DEKA that will both run your car (15lb for daily, 6.2lb for track). And if you don't believe that the 6.2 will run yoiur car, I drove mine daily with that battery for several months with absolutly no issues.

My dad has the small odyssey and idk if it has a bad cell or what, but it tends to die fairly frequently.

I would do DEKA, since frank used to work for them and knows that it really is the same thing is a braille lol.

Did your dad daily drive the car? Frank used to work at DEKA? awesome

6.2 lb battery scares me......lol. I dont want to get stuck at the track. I like the 2 battery idea. Who has them at a good price> Anyone local cause I'm driving the WRX and the STi is sitting

no, just on the track...

Look for one of those things you can plug in the cigarette lighter that's supposed to hold enough of a charge to start a dead battery. If you have a lightweight battery, that would be something cool to keep with you

the odyssey i found was more expensive then the same weight braille, while the braille was more powerful.

i didnt look into DEKA at all, hadnt heard of them. But I can tell you the 6 lb 6oz braille does struggle a bit compared to a full size, but that wasnt any suprise to me.
