Default Few questions after downpipe install.

Just wrapped up installing a Helix catted downpipe and reflashed the ecu to Stage 2 with the AP on my 07 STi. Very impressed with the results. Now for some questions...

**With the new DP installed the AC drain tube hits the DP. No matter what I do I cant get the tube away from the DP. Any suggestions on how to deal with this?

**What kind of HP can one expect with TBE, AP Stage 2?

**What would be the next mod I should look into? Better tune? I have the following on my 07 STi.
1) Espelir Exhaust
2) Helix Catted Downpipe
3) Cobb Air Intake with Cobb Air Box
4) AccessPort Stage 2

**Will I benefit any from a larger TMIC, or is the stock one just fine?
Thanks guys....

***Really need help with this question.***
I removed the IC in order to remove the oem heat shield off the turbo,(What a pain.) after removing the IC, I noticed oil residue in the IC. I guess I should install a oil catch can. (Picked up a Greddy one.) I've looked for information and pics for a 07 with no luck. Would one of you be so kind to post a pic to help me get an idea where to run the oil lines (Hook them up.) and where to mount the can. Not a lot of room under the hood. I've asked a few guys where I should mount one and everyone of them tell me by the battery. Are you kidding me.*LOL* There is NO room near the batter for a oil catch can. they must have a early model impreza or something.
Thanks guys...

You should have some room - you can move the black plastic clip that holds it in place, so that will help if your only problem is getting it to stay put... Other than that, it's a very bad idea to let that melt, as your A/C won't have a drain anymore and will back up and mold.

**What kind of HP can one expect with TBE, AP Stage 2? I'm too lazy to go to NASIOC (or COBB's site)... I guess you are too

Meth and a tune.

Thanks guys... it is possible to install it near the battery, just a really tight fit. I've installed on the passenger side strut tower, but only on FMIC -- I don't know if you have room or not with the stock TMIC

The AC tube. I just took a knife and cut mine. On both my STI's...

As for power, With those mods, your looking at about 285. With a protune, you will see more.

Sell the TMIC and buy a FMIC. After that, Buy a clutch!!! and TUNE!

Yea, I cut mine as well.

I agree with Frank...meth, meth, meth. Meth with a pro tune will produce some really nice numbers.

Found this on Cobbs site:
Stage 2: +50 HP and +85 lb-ft (93 octane) typical

I have no plans of upgrading the turbo anytime soon. I figured the FMIC may just be a waste with the stock turbo, so I figured a larger TMIC will be fine for what I need, but thought I would ask you guys first.
Thanks guys for the help....

Little nervous about meth. I know NOTHING about it. Is there a good link/site to lean what all it does? I did read where people use shellac (Spelling)??? Denatured alcohol,(I think thats what its called.) 50/50 mix and so on.

Well, your car will run cooler with a fmic. There the same price as a top mount, and look better. Run meth, then when the pump fails and you dont know it, you can run lean and blow up

^^^^true statement, except there are ways to know when the pump fails.

Do your research on the meth. Contact DJErick, he can fill you in. He has a 50/50 setup that's really nice.

theres a meth section in this thread:
FS Common Questions Link Thread - Florida Subarus

as far as the catch can, how many miles does the car have on it? I notice *barely* any oil when I take my top mount off and it usually is at least 10k miles before its taken off to do something else. Haven't needed a catch can so far and you could say the car is driven fairly hard.
