well the cheapest and most used option is going with the vf39 or vf43 (sti turbo and 07 sti turbo respectively). The spool isn't really that much slower and it puts out at least 50hp more.

wow.. 50 hp is a lot! I'm sure one day i'll run out of fun things to do on my car and the turbo will be the only thing left. Right now i've got headers and this TGV delete on the plate Should be fun when im done

Def get your bung done at S&R they do awesome work. Mine was done there, and it's great. The weld is PERFECT, like the pipe was built that way. Amazing. Pipe welding is tough too!

yeah once the mod bug bites, it bites hard. after the 6spd I was hoping to be pretty much done. then I took on a whole new project of finishing the stripping and putting a cage in the car. Now its just a bunch of little things that need to be done, but nothing major. I really need a DD for like a month... let my car sit in the shop and give Mike plenty of time to look everything over and just do those little things. Going in tomorrow to get some stuff done with the belts, get the oil pressure gauge hooked up, a hole that I punched in the floor welded up, etc. Just a bunch of little stuff like that.

i agree that these cars need tlc... mine sits in the garage and i go out at night when everyone is sleeping and just stare at it thinking of what to possibly do next. It usually turns out into cleaning, inspection, and small mods.

My garage is my temple, and my subaru is my buddah.
