^lmao...he has driving experience the say...not mechanical. Anyway, I like the hawk pads I'm running now but they were noisy as shit for like the first 5k miles now they are quite. I like the green stuff brakes A LOT more....especially for track use. The only thing though the green stuffs eat up rotors fairly quick so they are not the best for daily driving. Also a good idea to go slotted with the green stuff brakes. LD is right about the cross drilled rotor being prone to cracks though, but it all depends on hard you are going to be on them and how well made they are.

He brings up a good point though. I am all for using some cheap parts where it doenst matter (i.e.. Intake, Strut Bar, SS, etc....), however when it comes to brakes you want to be careful.

There are countless threads on tons of forums about peoples Ebay/Knockoff Rotors breaking apart or cracking after 1 time of heating up good.

Ryan best of luck to you!!! I hope it works out, if not PM me. I have a major hook-up from the rally days. I just picked up Front and Rear Stop Tech rotors for my Evo and it was under 190.00 Shipped.

Man thats a good deal on the StopTechs let me know if you can hook me up for my Evo

uh yeah i want that deal on stoptech rotors damn lol. im paying $350 a pair.

and i did all my own work until about 6 months ago when the tranny went for the second time. And still since then I have done quite a few things on my own. Many of the things like the drivetrain swap, making a custom bracket welded to the frame for the front splitter, the cage, etc. are all things I can't do. the injectors thing ended up being retarded. I have no idea how that second o ring got on there...

the post wasnt meant to be pessimestic. like mike said there are things you can cheap out on like exhausts and strut bars, but things like brake rotors, pads, actual suspension components, etc. are all things that can put your life in danger if they fail.

People are still buying drilled/slotted rotors? Despite the fact that todays brake pad compounds don't create the kinds of gas build up that made drilled/slotted rotors necessary. Not to mention the problem with cracking in drilled/slotted rotors.

Oh, well... we will just have to see.

Think about it. Stoptech was once looked at like a cheap product at some time. You never know man, rotorpro's quality might be even better or the same! you gotta give a company a chance or you will never know.

Cpages, your hook up sounds very nice. but lets all think about prices for a sescond. Just because the price is a trillion dollars doesnt make the product quality top notch.
This is why greddy filed bankrupt! because they over prices all there shit! and spent millions on advertiseing!

greddy failed because they weren't the best and they weren't cheap... they were somewhere in the middle. there really is no market for middle stuff. everyone either buys the cheap stuff or invests the extra money to get the best

stoptech copied all their original designs from brembo... lol

NO LD, if you look at there figures the last 2 years they have been in debit and more debit. they failed because they over priced there products and wasted to much money in advertiseing.

The graph only shows the decline in there profit!

Here is a perfect example LD. You have one of our prosport oil coolers correct?
Our oil coolers is $389. Greddy's is like $750

Guess what, The AN fitting and the adapter plate are th exact same!!!! The quality is the same!!! but greddy decided to over price everything. there trying to make a 500% mark up on everything. Come on man, ive only been in this business for a year now and i know alot. Glenn has passed on alot of information to me and it really makes you see how these companies TRY and make so much money on products!
