ubt the STI will move up in power... they bumped the WRX up so they could create the "2.5GT" which will basically be the current WRX. The WRX will also have better wheels and aero styling than the 2.5GT. haven't heard too many specifics, but I assume it will have the same interior as previous, and that the 2.5GT will have the "TR" type seats.

 

More power and better suspension to compete with the Mitsubishi Ralliart thats on the horizon. Competition is always makes for better products for the consumer.

But like LD said, I doubt the STI will see any increase.

 

They need to put the freakin 6spd in it now, with that kind of power!

 

They have got to put more power in the STI. 300 isn't shit anymore. It needs to be at least 350. Subaru needs to evolve. They change front ends every two years, but keep the same old engine, while simultaneously making it weaker and more prone to failure.

 

Damn, I was praying for a body style change.

 

There are rumors going around that they're bringing another STi model. Spec C? I'd say that the STi would probably go up to aboot 320hp. They've obviously got headroom on the VF-39, and it has other selling points too.

 

i was thinking that they might be trying to compete with mazdaspeed 3 if the sti doesnt go up in hp you would think that their sales would have a major drop off

 

yep if anything I bet they will bring in a spec C version as opposed to just increasing hp

and I *highly* doubt they will ever put the 6spd in anything other than the STI. the STI sales would plummet if they did that.
