Default paint shops

Anyone know of any places locally that will paint rims? I've heard of powder coating, but I don't want to risk heating my rims.

Do you have any idea how damn hot your rims get when you are hard on the brakes? They are a giant heatsink. Ive almost dropped one of my feathers after just a spirited drive home and taking them off. It was so hot I burned my hand.

Yeah powder coating isnt a risk at all, it is actually the proper way to paint wheels.

Make sure to clear coat them enough to be easy to clean.

I painted my stock wheels gold and I taped the tire/valve stem off. I usually use 3 coats of paint and then 2-3 of clear. Make sure to let them dry for a while before you drive or the brake dust becomes embedded in the paint. Ask me how I know...

Sorry, I heard bad things about powder coating. It may be the proper way to some people, but I don't like the idea of oven heating my rims.
