By this I mean, Sebring is not a parking lot auto-x track where 80 mph is top speed . It would be easy to do 130 + mph on this track straight into a hair-pin baracade There are several high-speed turns on this track where it could be easy to over do it. Most of the 17 turns are 40-100 mph range though and can be negotiated with ease.

It is great fun Just need to go easy for the first few laps!
yes.... i know.... im there probably 10-15 times a year

funny how its 21+ but yet you can still use a snell95 helmet, which has been disallowed by every other club for 3 years now

I know where they're coming from but I've driven Sebring a few times and went to the Panoz driving school there. It's not the end of the world though, 21 is a few months away.

No HPDE here either. It does say you can be sponsored by a SAFE motorsports member though. Man, I'd love to do this...I just worry about my brakes. I dont think I can afford the $500 upgrade at this point...maybe later in the year.

your first event you dont need to worry about your brakes. the first time is more getting comfortable with the track and running with other cars around you.

idk much about SAFE, but i personally dont want to run an open session with people from novices to very experienced drivers.

and guys there are plenty of other clubs (like I said earlier) that allow 18+.

agreed, don't worry about the brakes at this point.

just go easy and have fun in the turns. there will be people there in automtic luxury-cars just driving the course for fun. you can go at your own pace and run as slow as you want... lots of people go very easy.

in refernce to the helmet, i think that policy is just written by whatever insurance carrier they have.

this is great fun... it's just about being able to drive your car on the track to see what that is all about. for others, it is a good time to practice

I just got my renewal notice in the mail from them Yesterday. There are only 65 spots that will quickly fill. If you want to be able to go, make sure you register in the next few weeks.
