They are trying to sell me one for a pretty fair price, i have to check it out monday, i loved these cars for a while now ,and i need advice from the people who know most about em, as in what areas to look for for any damage or drivability issues what things to look for basically before doing anything on this deal..

its an 04 STI with 48k miles , the mods i saw were an intake and hks BOV thats about it....
is there supposed to be a programable ECU there to support those mods?

how many PSI's is it supposed to be running stock, i think i saw it go to 13psi but not sure ..
the only problems i saw were as follows
-not the original gauge cluster,original was removed because they said that the gas gauge went crazy and the dealer replaced the whole thing for a new one and now the cluster only reads 7k miles..
little scuffs on the front bumper
O and cup holder doesnt wanna come OUT!!!!!

i believe that is it...
ALSO if i wanted to add a full exhaust and put up the boost, whats the safest i can go with those mods and on the stock turbo and also what ecu should i get and who to tune it?

Of course some retarded kid who drove it put on a hks bov. Make sure you test drive it to make sure it runs well. Check everything. The idea of it having just those two mods would worry me but otherwise it looks good.

 

should boost just under 15psi stock.

 

Hmm, ABC Autos is a dealer that buys auction cars.. I'd look hard at this one. Just makes me wonder why a third-hand lot would be selling this car; as there has to a reason. Put this car on a normal lot, and you could most likely get a higher price. Defiantly get a car fax on this one.. Nice car though.

 

Find a stock air box, and a stock by-pass valve to put back on if you do get this car. As far as a tune look up Snowman (Jeff) on here also for that..
