Personally, I'm not a fan. I feel that an exhaust should provide excellent performance and that noise levels are a byproduct of power. A well-tuned exhaust will not only use Hemholtz ressonances to increase power but will also be quiet enough to be comfortable.
IMHO, if you want something to be obnoxious just go buy a Harley or an SRT-4...

they are good...as long as you dont get a crappy one...sometimes the motors cease up...sometimes they leak...and sometimes you get a good one that works fine 
or you can get a good flowing turboback exhaust, and then you dont have to worry about running an open downpipe and being super loud.
