they are good...as long as you dont get a crappy one...sometimes the motors cease up...sometimes they leak...and sometimes you get a good one that works fine 
or you can get a good flowing turboback exhaust, and then you dont have to worry about running an open downpipe and being super loud.

I dont like 'em.
You have to tune for them open which hurts the potential performance when they're closed (which is where it'll be most of the time). The other option is to tune for it when its closed (and it will cut when open) which really defeats the purpose of having one in the 1st place.

if you do get one, just make sure the cutout is "after" the second o2.

if you are staying with the stock turbo (tdo4) and you want extra torque then it will work. the turbo will spike and fall, but if you go any bigger turbo than it will creep and cut!!!!
