Default Phone # for Subaru Tech. - side work needed

There was a phone number floating around here a few months back of a Subaru Master Certified Technician that did work on the side. Think is was Garrett???

I finally fried the ACT 6-puck, & need a clutch change an OEM flywheel resurfacing.

Anybody have that number?

Thanks, Steve

How did you fry a 6 puck? And Subaru does not recommend resurfacing the flywheel.

I guess with 480 TQ to the wheels and lots of AWD launches ?

That would not be normal in 8000 miles ? I figured that with more pressure per square inch over a smaller surface area, things would wear faster (ie 6-puck) ... what to most people get out of these under hard conditions?

Thanks for the flywheel tidbit... I did not know that.

If your running light weight pulley's (crank)with a light weight flywheel you will kick misfire codes.

i would talk to ryan west and or kassanova or prstriker on FLsubarus. kassanova, real name June did my clutch for about half what garrett charges. i also tried to get garrett to do mine but he never returned my phone calls. i also have a stock flywheel that may work for you. you have my # just let me know.

i also have a lightweight flywheel and no code either.

see im looking for a place to install my clutch and flywheel too but i cant bare to spend 528 bucks at mastro. and everyone is saying ryan_west, but i have a hard time with going to a ''person'' and not a shop that would offer a warranty on the labor (i have the parts)
mastro offers 12m/30k miles- brothers 30day/1k miles- HR performance is 3months.

do you think a warranty is necessary or will i be fine? how much does
garrett charge? how much does kassanova charge?

sorry for thread jacking but its the same topic lol
