My real question when I wrote this was, when I do a 6spd swap what all is needed? Do I need front and rear shafts along with a driveshaft?

Also will any 04' and up sti tranny be directly interchangable? i.e. bellhousing line up.

I meant to post these questions initially, hence the technical section, my bad.

you can just get the 6spd w/clutch and run a R160 rear with the 3.90 ratio if you want to save some money. Just have to get a WRX auto driveshaft.

DAMN! please dont get a 6speed! with the money your going to spend on that you can get some PPG gears. 5spd is way better then the 6. all you do is stare at the damn tach with that shit.

let me know if you need it pulled

I agree 100% with ryan..the 6-spd is heavier, requires swapping more parts, clutches generally cost more, the gearing is horrible and allows for little time in gear to actually ride the torque curve.
