need help/will pay!
the gaskets, both on top and bottom of the tgv are new,and i havent started the car since i put them on. the injectors came with o-rings on them. i took them out today and they appear to be fine, not cut or anything.
there are rubber orings that sit in the tgv housings, not the very small ones on the injectors themselves, but between the tip and the tgv. about the size of a nickel, round but with flat sides if that makes any sense. if you've seen them you know what i'm talking about; they're usually a one shot deal also. these are the ones that need to be checked.
yes i know exactly, if mastro dosent have them central fl eurocar may, im pretty sure thats where they are leaking since the injector is pretty much sealed all other places. jeff says i have to have the car put together sat to tune sunday if i want to have it running for the awd meet. gd its going to be a long 2 days. lmk if you may be able to come sat and i can call and pay for those o rings if you could bring them, assuming i cant get them at CFEC when i drive by there tomorrow. maybe manny will read this and be able to check on those o rings since i have no clue on a part number. thanks for the help guys. i cant wait to have my car up and running...
if they have them i will pick them up. other than than those or another leak that hasn't been discovered you may have the same problem 41ants did, which means a defective set of tgv's. they would never seal until they sent a new one.
when you installed the housings and new gaskets, did you clean the surfaces?
the lower 0-rings also are quite fickle upon being reused...sometimes they work and sometimes they don't...I would first get some soapy water and try and find where the leak is...hook the air line up to the manifold and fill it with pressure...just start spotting the bubbles.
