yep. if he came to look at them before buying its done. maybe if it was on ebay and you took some pics and they turned out to be different i could see a problem. but if he came and inspected them its tough shit for him. Even if you did purposely rip him off (which i know you didnt), thats how the world works and people do get scammed all the time.
