they are the exact same!

 

04 and 05 are different.... then in 06 and 07 are different.... subies change every 2 years....

 

04 and 05 are not the same (esp. the sti)
06 and 07 are not the same either... 06's have different tails, aluminum control arms (or something like that), gearing, etc....

as for the 02's and 03's I'm not sure, check out cars101.com

bcs is right, there are changes every year. im not sure what between 02-03, i know 04-07 though

they only thing different is the 03 brake pads and has the key ring lights up

 

Differences between 02 and 03 (depends on what it rolled off the line really)

different radiator w/rad cap
different cover on upper coolant resivoir
different ECU map (IIRC to fix P0443 code CEL problem on 02's)
light up key ring
front and rear brake brakets and pads
different clutch

there's something else I'm missing... I think a different clutch master cyl was in 03 or a proporitoning or slowdown valve or something to help people not break their tranny as easily.

 

also a different flywheel...it was part of the clutch shutter fix

really minute differences between the two.
