RS to a WRX
okay good then it won't offend you to let him know that IIRC, his car already weighs as much as a WRX give or take a hundred pounds, so weight to power ratio doesn't really help him, but it helps me!!!
well weight to power ratio may be a factor...now..but who knows within the next few years...they could develop parts the could enable people like me to upgrade the rs into a fully blown wrx maybe sti it may cost money and man hours but in the end result i'll be able to look at my car and say..I built that not a team of engineer geeks or robotic arms but lil ol me....and those who say it cant be done take a look at the fast and the furious our favorite movie of all time and the supra they rebuilt...probably not that exact same one but the concept is that any good engine can be built from scratch!!

no, i mean that power ration is not a factor for you, because unless you strip the interior of just about everything, there's not alot you can do to shed weight to get to the level an GC8 is at. In other words, that car is a fat kid with munchies, it needs a diet. losing weight is the cheapest way to gain power
To satisfy your cravings for more power, I'd say get a full exhaust and see how that suits you for a lil while, if you NEED more, then you start looking into everything else, because exhaust is almost always the first place you start to gain power.

oh i know that i used to plan out complete cars as a little kid and i still have them if i find them i'll post them up for whomever wants to do projects....and wat if i decide to buy the sti/spt exhaust system by bosal..would that fit the rs or should i buy the rs version???
if you buy a TBE for an NA car it will not fit, for the simple fact that you dont have a turbo... are you aware if you do the whole "convert to a wrx" thing you have to REPLACE EVERYTHING... so yes if you buy everything that goes under the hood of a wrx and the exhaust thats for a wrx it will fit just like it fits on a wrx...
hmm got it now..nice looking out before i went and wasted 500 bucks but does anybody know a reliable site that does subie engine swaps with the swaps having low miles??
East Coast Swappers is the most well-known for subaru swaps, check out their webpage, they have everything listed and will custom source a motor for you, or check out gruppe-s.com for good motors, i'm planning on going with the jdm FXT motor with less than 1000km
I'd suggest if you want an exhaust for the time being that you just have some pipe bent at an exhaust shop and have a free-flow muffler welded on, or just straight pipe.
cheap and as if not more effective than an expencive setup that you don't need

yeah i thought about the FXT motor also but i need to get rid of mine...though i have been inquiring alot of people selling the bugeye wrx's yep thinking bout going retro
i know where you can get an sti long block for 1500
