Where to get gears installed?
Ok so the transmission I was looking to buy may not work out after all. So I am considering getting an RA gear set instead. If I pull the tranny myself and take it somewhere, how much is it going to cost to install the gears....and where can I take or send it? I prefer a local install, but not if they don't know what they are doing. Or if anyone has any other suggestions on gears, please let me know. I am only looking to spend about $2000-2500....so I won't be able to get ppg's or anything like that. And only making about 300awhp. Thanks for any help.

yes I have an 03 bugeye......would it be better to just try and find an 04 tranny instead of ra gears. I'm sure the ra's have to be better than the 04 or 05 tranny's....right? It's either that or after my wedding I will be parting out my car and selling it for something else. I would really like to keep it but want it to be reliable for the next year or so. And if I am going to spend 4500-5500 on a sti tranny, or ppg set...I might as well use that money toward buying an sti. Decisions decisions..

if your looking to just get it running again to sell it. go to jestos. They will do all the work for about $2,500!!
dont spend the money on RA gears, just take it to jestos and they will put the stock ones back in.

yea i'd really like to know if ss could install ppg's with new syncros... i'd hate to send it way the fuck up to andrewtech and have my car down for 10+ days and spend 5k+

call my buddy garrett...hes super cheap and hes a 7 year factory subaru tech...he does all my local installs
