There is another Safe Motorsports track day at Sebring on July 21st!!!

If you have ever wanted to drive your car on a real race track with other novices in a laid back environment, then now is your chance. This is not a race, but a chance to drive your car how the engineers at Subaru intended, and have fun doing so. It is about having fun and practicing your driving skills. No passing is allowed in the corners but is allowed on the straights, hence the name SAFE MOTORSPORTS. You will be on the track with anything from Civics & Miatas to Ferarris and Porsches. If you want to bring a friend and have them ride with you, you can! There are even instructors available to run the first few laps with you as an advisor if you have never been before! Food and beverage is provided at the snack bar and you can even park your ride in the garaged pits. This is an absolute blast guys and gals.

The event is a full day long, from 8am to 4pm. The track is reserved just for Safe Motorsports members and there is only enough room for about 65 cars. In the morning, all the cars will be split into two groups, each running for a half hour for a warm up. By around 10am, it is open track and you can come and go as you please.

My idea is to get a bunch of Subaru owners to come. That should up the fun meter! Last time, my car was one of only 2 Subarus that attented.

The cost is $50 to become a member and $250 for the event for a total of $300. If you want a passenger, they can ride with you for an additional $35.

Is there any interest here? It would be nice to have you guys along. It is important that you regester in the next week or two as the spots will fill quickly. It is also very important that you put my name down as a referal.

sounds like fun as hell, wish i had the money for it, would love to have a ride-along instructor on a track

 

yes, it is spendy but worth every $. this is one of the most fun things i have ever done. is anyone else interested? i thought for sure, we would have a nice group.

 

I wish I could go. I've wanted to do it for awhile now, but I will be on a plane to Japan that day. Do you know when the next one is? I may be down then.

For those that want to go, registration is easy.

Click on the above link to Safe Motorsports. Click on FORMS. On the FORMS page, you only need to print only 2 forms... the rest will be sent to you in the mail by Safe Motorsports after you register. Print the MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION FORM and the REGISTRATION FORM.

Fill out those 2 forms and send them in to Safe Motorsports along with your check. Within a few weeks, they will send you back the remaining forms to be completed along with your acceptance!
