Default New Tires Help!!!

just got some ssIX wheels from tkrskyline, and they came with 245/40/18's on them but they are race slicks and DEFINITELY wont fit with my current springs (tein s-techs) im wondering if it is because the slicks are unusually thick because they are slicks OR because they are 245's and no matter what that size tire isnt going to fit- any advice will help thanks a bunch -chad

its the type of tire. a 245 tire in x brand may not be the same as another 245 tire in y brand. tires differ greatly from brand to brand and more so with slick/race tires.
case in point: i am runnin 255/40/18 on my 06 sti with cobb springs and it fits just fine.

Hmmmmm.....
If they are still around next month those 245's would go very nicely on the wagon.
What brand tire are they & model?
