if you went to a manual controller back to stock it's also possible you put the car into limp mode along the way.

As far as I know S&R does not actually tune yet.

Um, factory boost settings are a minor thing that can be looked up easily in a manual. Sorry i didnt have time to do such. You guys are so quick to judge a dealership over things lol. Anyways and about the tuners, dont get mad that peoples cars who get tuned blow up. Its a grim reality that when your car gets tuned, its not always gonna go the way its planned. And there are alot of butchers out there. Im not pointing fingers. People take sooo much offense to general statements on this forum. If your not going to take it to a SOA dealership, take it to billy bobs auto and let them rig your shit up and see what happens then. Also another thing is my opinions do not express mastro's either. When i said the deal about the boost levels, it was not pointed at us. Go to another subaru dealership and ask one of the mechanics and see if they know off the top of their head. Some do some dont. Leave it at that. Dont hop on the band wagon to throw insults at one place.

On another note. Thank you to whomever was nice enough to supply the information that i was looking for without giving some sort of smart remark. Now that pill thing you were talking about. That thing is in one of the nipples on the tee fitting right? Looks kind of like a very small copper piece ?

Ok the deal with that is. I don't even know all the local tuners. However, when people bring their cars in and say hey somethings knocking and they have to replace the block because of tuning done what do you expect us to think? Another thing is, we don't know the tuners themselves we only know what the customer says and complains about. Its definitely not our fault if they point the finger. And then once you've heard the same people are destroying cars, you pretty much gather that those people are butchers. But hell, even the best tuners mess up here and there. But there are some out there that just don't care. They know they aren't responsible for what happens to peoples cars.

Another note, never did i ever say that i was a master mechanic. Hell im learning it all over again. I just got out of the air force. Swapping from planes to cars is a big difference even though some people might not think so. It seems to me that whenever people are experiencing boost problems, its usually too late for something as easy as a restrictor pill to be replaced, its usually the engine internals gone. All we have left is a speculation of what might have caused the motor to go after we have replaced it. Plus on top of that most people who have really bad ass cars dont take them to the dealerships at all. They usually do it themselves. And believe it or not, tuning is looked down on by some people. I myself don't look down on it. I like the import scene to be honest. I just happen to feel that there are some very gullible people out there getting dicked over.
