check your coolant line to the turbo! this exact same thing happened to my friend. His coolant line some how blew off and it was leaking on the turbo causing steam. HOLLA

 

after installing my TBE my oil line was loose and the car was seriously leaking oil... you dont realize how much you move the turbo aroud when you are installing a DP. Point is check your lines to and from the turbo.
