Again I'm not blaming anyone. Or any shop. Its just one of those things that happen.

So here's the uprgrade:
2.5L STi Short block
Stock WRX 2.0L Head
VF34 Turbo
Catless Uppipe and Downpipe
TBE Catless 3.5"
STi Pink injectors
Looking for an STi Topmount (or aftermarket TMIC)
Walbro Fuel pump
Cosworth Light weight Forged Pistons
And leaning toward Ecutek Reflash (open to suggestions on this)
So far thats whats happening.

Then a Dyno pull...J/K .
Check my for sale thread.

more than likely you did have the problem coming, hopefully.

i'd save on the pistons and use that money for cams instead. if you don't replace the cams those pistons will never be needed, since you will be capped off by the stock cams.

i did 150 pulls over the weekend and not a single problem. I never sent anybody out the door and said sorry about your luck. Infact his car left here fine. If you had a problem I would have taking care of it and not just sent you down the road.

Sorry about your luck bud. I honestly dont think the dyno had much to do with it other than your engine was already on the verge of going boom. You say that you like to drive it fast and what not on the street? That would mean that you have to dog it in order to be fast right? Dont get me wrong man, I'm not trying to make it sound like I'm trashing you. Its just the fact that it was inevitable. You had an egg with a hairline crack on it for a while. When enough pressure got on it, it cracked.

I personally had a great time over at S&R. The guys there are not ones that will bend a customer over. If anything, they have bent over backwards trying to get things done for us here in the area.

Good luck getting it rebuilt... now make it a 500whp beast!

man that sucks. that seems to be low mileage to have the engine go out on.

Let me make something clear on here especially to the guys at S&R Performance,
They were real nice to me to let me get a free run on the dyno and I think that there shop os real nice and reputable. I've never dogged this car or anything like that, its hardley ever seen speeds of even close to 100mph, so its not abuse.

My luck with all of this was that it just happened after the dyno pull, the load that it took on the dyno was the last straw to its ultimate demise, if it didn't happen there it would have happened eventually.

Props to the guys at S&R for even opening a shop like that around here. We needed it in this area, and I will go back to them after my build more than likley.
So...I don't blame them at all this just happened when it did. When I left there everything was fine, the next day when I drove the car I heard a slight knock, then didn't drive it until today and then it got louder. And this is where we are at.

So I wish them well and Happy Tuning!

What kind of EMS would be good forthat kind of setup?

I know of Ecutek but would perfer one that I can download new maps for changes to the system etc...so that I don't have to pay everytime I change a map like w/Ecutek.

Let me know....

did you have engine diagnoise. Since you don't dog it at all. I bet you have piece of carbon that fell into the cylinder. So you might have a carbon knock, which I have seen ton of when I was building engines for GM.That is a easy fix.
