Got some great news today.....:(
After my Low Dyno pull last week, my car started making a rattling noise under the intercooler afainst the firewall, I took it into Mastro today and it looks like I threw a bearing or a piston, but it knocks like HELL.
so...the verdict is now:
Need a new short block.
Not too happy about that. Since I have to get a new block, I've decided to go with a 2.5 STi block and forged Cosworth Pistons.
All in all that "free" dyno run is going to cost me about $6,000 with labor.
I'm not blaming anyone because I signed the waiver and I shouldn't have been a guinea pig on a new dyno, but we live and learn.
So moral of this story....Nothing in this world is FREE!

Wow, that had to be awkward. So you helped the guy out and he blew your motor up and fucked you with the waiver. You might be being to nice here. The waiver is for tuning the car, not for doing nothing to it! How is it possible to blow up an untuned motor on a dyno? It is, but pretty hard to do.
