Wow, nobody said that before, all I kept hearing was "the dyno reads low, the dyno reads low..." and now this!

I would say it qualifies as expensive news. At least you're gonna get a nice replacement.

terrible news, I do feel your pain but how does this have anything to do with the dyno? did they bounce it off the rev limiter or something. Doin a dyno pull is easier on the car than running it full throttle on the street.

The problem was probably already there. Do you ever do full throttle pulls on the street/track? Does you car have an extended drive train warranty? I am just failing to see how a Dyno pull, not tune, can be sole source of Catastrophic engine damage. Anyone?

I have never taken this thing to a dyno or to the track. I've never raced anyone in it either. Just drove it fast on the streets but never abused it. It never made the knocking rattling before the dyno pull. Plus the car was vibrating very hard during the end of the pull. So something may have been shaken up inside. I don't know.

Again I'm not blaming anyone. Or any shop. Its just one of those things that happen.

So here's the uprgrade:
2.5L STi Short block
Stock WRX 2.0L Head
VF34 Turbo
Catless Uppipe and Downpipe
TBE Catless 3.5"
STi Pink injectors
Looking for an STi Topmount (or aftermarket TMIC)
Walbro Fuel pump
Cosworth Light weight Forged Pistons
And leaning toward Ecutek Reflash (open to suggestions on this)
So far thats whats happening.

Then a Dyno pull...J/K .
