from what i read that thing seems genius!! the only thing that seems kinda iffy to me is the "flat shifting" i dunno how i would feel about trying that on my car. and another thing is that i bet its a B!tch to install..

looks like it would work just how the launch control for a utec does. not sure what it's adjustability is though(fuel cut vs. ignition cut). that's an important thing to find out. preferably you want fuel cut. ignition cut can cause detonation, along with other problems.

as for a "good" mod, use at your own risk. many people have had motors go pop from using launch control. mainly from error.

i was doing that with the turboxs utec years ago

its fun!

its always good for a nice launch...5500rpms...in boost..and whap whap whap...your gone

the synchros in the 06 sti we used are fine...even the synchros in our 04 sti with gt30R and meth...fine

even in my old evo from 2-3 years ago...fine

techincally spooling in a stationary position is asking a bit much if your sitting there holding it down for a while as your creating excess heat with alot less cooling so make sure you dont do it too long!

you did flat foot shifting in all those cars and the syncros have all been fine? i know alot of people don't have a problem doing it. generally they go bad when someone makes a little mistake while shifting like that.

i've read a bunch for sti's where the syncros went, but more than likely it was a mis shift.
