put it back to stock and have your mom bring it in 
. its worth a shot but i doubt it.
why would you want to have the tranny rebuilt with the same stuff you just broke its only going to happen again.
maybe its just your tranny telling you it is time to upgrade

So what would be his best solution for a tranny if he ends up having to pay for another? I plan on running pretty much the same mods eventually as him. Is upgrading the insides better, or a whole new tranny and which ones are good? Sorry to hijack, I don't know much about these cars, but I have heard the wrx trannies are weak.

Thats why u shouldn't slam gears anyway. I have an sti tranny n I still have yet to slam the gear. Just feather ur clutch while shifting n u might lose a lil bit of acceleration but stress on clutch is better than tranny!!!
