nice write up dj, hey quick question, what is the benefits of having a EWG setup compared to IWG? thanks

Not meaning to Hijack....
I did one for my Mitsubishi based turbo and it cost me a whopping $1 in parts after scrounging around the gargage and reusing some of the parts from the IWG mount.

Short answer?
An EWG will hold/control boost better and increased VE resulting in more power with lower cylinder pressures/total timing as compared to a similar setup running an IWG.

where'd you find an eye-bolt like that?

I took it off the internal gate that came with the turbo.

The hard part is finding the right thread pitch bolt that fit it. I had the washers already.

yeh, ill just bring it with me to ACE and find the bolt for it, just gotta get one long enough. Fabing the plate will probably be the hardest part, making it look clean.

Aesthetically, I cant say mine is exactly where I want it to be. But it did work well enough to allow me to destroy my tranny. What can I say?
