Cool Which Setup is best?

hello i just wanted to get some opinions on which setup would be the best considering performance and reliability i have a '03 wrx with up pipe, tbe , walboro 255 fule pump and an Ecutek ecu .. i want to get a bigger turbo , bigger injectors bigger intercooler .. im trying to get within the 280-300 whp range .. i was searching for turbos and dont know which one would be better .. out of the VF series what is the best? vf 39 or vf 30 etc etc .. and what size injectors should i get? sti pinks 565? ... anyways i have a few months to save up some $$$$$ that is why i did not go ahead and get my tune with scott this month i rather get all the parts first and build up the motor then get it tuned from him later .. throw me your .02 cents , i will definatlly appreciate it

get the vf39, they can be found relatively cheap and its a great turbo. You may need the vf30 for your power goals but if it were me I would be all over the vf39

get a vf34 or vf30...the vf39's tend to crack really easy and both the vf30 and 34 are a little bit bigger than the 39. all you need to make 300whp is a vf34, upgraded intercooler (preferably top mount if you don't want any lag), sti pinks or something of equal size, fuel pump(you already have), and the tune. if you want quick spool go with the vf34 cause it is ball bearing. another option besides the vf series turbos is to go with a 16g such as the deadbolt super 16g. great turbo if you can afford it.

let me just say this, 300awhp is very difficult to make on any vf series turbo. You can get close, 280-290 easily w/ either a 22 or a 30. The vf-30's are starting to take on the "cracking" characteristics of the 39. But, they are all great upgrades for a wrx. The VF-22 is going to get you as close as you can get to 300 with a vf series. Even the Super 16g has a hard time getting to 300whp. Just do some research and you'll find what you are looking for. NASIOC as a pretty good FAQ about turbos. Check it out.
