personally i found the 39 real small on my wrx, it was really nice for auto cross cause you have real fast spool, but it dies up top. meth can help with this problem... but it is easier to get a slightly bigger turbo.

what is your price range for turbo only? then add a bigg TMIC or FMIC, pinks, or other choice of fuel delivery. and of course the tune....

All you have to do is do a little research and figure out which one best suits your needs. Make a set of goals you want to reach with the car, and shoot for it.

I'll make things easier for you so you don't have to search.

Subaru Turbo List - NASIOC

There is a good starting point.

Once again, this is going to depend on what you want to do with the car. TMIC is less laggy than a front mount. Also, IMO, FMIC's fit better with bigger turbos than a VF series. I'm talking 20g, GT35r, and up. The STI TMIC is ok, but it's really not THAT much better than a stock one. It's only a little bigger and of the same design. I'm not going to lie, Ebay ones are pretty good. The fittment isn't the best and it's tedious to install, but saving 600 bucks on the SAME design as an APS one is what I like. It's the same core as the APS and ssautochrome just welds different tanks on it.

But, like I, and others have said, you should set up your car for how you want to drive it. Street, drag, autocross... etc.

Then go with a big TMIC, 16g or vf-34/30/22, injectors, bcs (i recommend prodrive), fuel pump of course, and possibly and intake..spt, cobb, perrin, whatever your tuner recommends. Also, I'd suggest finding a tuner, asking him for advice, and follow his word. He's going to know what's best for your car, that's what you pay him to do.

Yes.. there are quite a few of them out there, but I only have experience with the prodrive one. I believe it's one of the newer ones, but like I said, I don't know a whole helluva lot about them.

if you want to beat modded EVO`s and vette`s your going to need some real power.

i would recomend not focusing on the number ie 270-300whp. but instead of. i want to beat a modded EVO. thus you will need a little more than a 16g.... IMO.

like was said befor, talk to a tuner. get a feel for him. tell him what you want. if you dont agree, or dont like his attitue go else where. but remeber... in FL there isnt that many good tuners...
