I don't remember saying anything about them needing to be vertical... I personally don't remember having had any issues with solenoid mounting direction....

Just for the record, I do not feel that a Tial BOV is required... With really high boost maybe some sort of 50/50 is better, but there are WAY too many cars running high boost with things other than Tials and no issues. We've got a Red running 28 psi every day on a HKS SSQ...

hey scott, i wrote you a text message before my tune (back in late march early april area). It was about 1am when i sent it. i said my car was making this loud tap that turned into a banging noise. you said i might be going into detination. then, you and i talked on the phone the next morning. we talked for about 10 min and you said it was the avcr solenoid. you asked me how it was mounted and i said how it was mounted in 41ants' picture. then, you gave the analogy of the piston inside the solenoid and how it isnt like the pistons in our cars. after that, you said to mount it vertical b/c of the wear and weird noises it will make being horizontal. That day, i changed the mounting. SO, thats what you told me. i mean, if i can mount it the other way again i will b/c how i mounted it, it looks stupid, but it works.
