Central Florida Turbo... any good for tuning?
Central Florida Turbo... any good for tuning?
Since I missed out on the SS tune by my own sheer stupidity.
I was thinking of taking my car (stg 4 setup with a UTEC) down to CFT for a tune, since they have a AWD dyno. They charge a flat 400 bucks, wether the tune takes 3 hours or 8 hours.... Albeit i'd rather spend more on getting a really good subie tune thru SS.... I'm just a lil impatient on the damn thing... and my car is driving fairly choppy and crappy at times.
Anyone gotten a tune from them? heard anything about them? just looking for some feedback on what kinda work they do....
I was fortunate nuff to have Fat Angel help me out with the install so I dont really know of any shops here in tampa that do this kinda work.
Any help would be apprecaited....

OMG please do not go to CFT. I had to go back about 5 times over the course of 6 months to get my UTEC retuned for a Stage 2. Not only did they charge me $400 for a shitty map that overboosted my stock turbo to 20 psi, my car would knock everytime I went WOT in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gear. My advice to you is to absolutely stay away from CFT. I was planning on driving all the way to TopSpeed just to get Ecutec and have it tuned by Doug. I hope that you make the wise decision to either wait for another SS tuning session or just run off a Stage 4 base map from TurboXS, because either way you are better off than getting ripped off by the guys at CFT.
Ill let Black05 elaborate more on his problems, but in the meantime you can read about them a bit here . The car had a basic stage 2 setup on it so it shouldnt have been difficult to tune at all...
