Electronic boost controller
So I took my car to CFT for the 4th time since I had them dyno tune it to have them fix my overboosting, knocking, and timing problem. After driving all over Orlando so that Sergio could "fix" the problem, he decided that my only option to keeping my boost in check which in turn would stop the knocking would be to get an EBC. I have been meaning to get one, just never got around to it. He suggested the Greddy Profec-b, but I was looking at the AVC-R since it seems like a better unit. I was wondering if anybody had any experience with these 2 or and other ebc, and which you think would be the best choice. Thanks.

Well a friend of mine got me a good deal on an AVCR, so that's what I am going to be going with. Is there anything special to using it, or is it plug and play? Anybody want to help me out with it?

i have the greddy profec b and love it. no problems so far. my friend that belongs to this forum (nofearnick02) has the avcr and that is a really nice unit. i like how you can control boost in each gear.

Why would you even need an EBC when still on the stock turbo? I'm with Faded, dump the UTEC. Then either get EcuTEK or a Cobb AP.
Well I already bought the ebc, plus I don't have enough money to get new EM. I plan on using the AVC-R in my next car, so it's somewhat an investment for the future.
If I ever do something new to this car, I plan on getting rid of the UTEC and going with Ecutek, just not after I've spent all this money getting the damn UTEC to function somewhat properly. Thanks for all the help, it is greatly appreciated.
