well i just got my car back two weeks ago from getting the driveshaft replaced and 2nd gear, yesterday i was driving in the usf area and a buddy of mine has a gti 1.8t well we both got on it side to side and when i trnsferred from 1st to 2nd it sounded like someone shot at me! i was like 
. so now she is back home stuck like chuck. any ideas? i would like to go with a sti ra gearset but......will it hold? wtd?

yeah man i'd chalk that up as a goodbye. ra gearsets aren't that much stronger, but they may work for you. best bet for the all together cost is look for someone selling a better tranny already together. like a kazz, ppg, or even an ra. that way you can cut the prices down. if you just want an ra gearset there is a shop in orlando that has a few sets.

dude i feel ya im actually deeper than that first it was my clutch 500 then flywheel 300 then inst. 500 so 1300 so far then the driveshaft/2nd another 1300 and now im really f@#$%* caus i could of had a ppg gearset by the time its running again.

3000 for it but i dont think you'll break it, plus we can pick it up. have you back up quick. for the price of ra's and install you're gonna be at that anyway. i'll also lend my hands to help you get back and going.
