Sounds to me like the "shift easy into second" wasn't so easy. You say the driveshaft had to be replaced, and I don't know anything about how that came about, so I will refrain from comment about that particular item.


If you claim you can shift, why does it matter how he drives? You claim you can shift the car without forcing or slamming the trans. Anyways, enough of that shit. If you're looking for a stronger trans, upgrade the gearset. Even the 04-05 WRX gears were cut with wider teeth to give some added strength, but they're not "bulletproof". Also realize that will put pressure on other parts of the drivetrain... clutch, driveshaft, and half-shafts (aka axles).

 

cmon guy! i said when i shifted it broke. but when it broke thats when it felt like a 800 etc etc. anyhoo i never claimed to know anything bout subies. i just research, and about the driveshaft i was told that........so if there is no help just leave it alone.....i already have enough negativity w/o having her so thanks for the help....al

 

What mods and power do you have that you keep blowing 2nd gear I have a VF 22 setup and have no problems

 

im slow could be the first owner. i got this car w/45k on it so who knows hoew the idiot b4 me drove. its going to get fixed under the warranty of the part (i hope) then im saving for a ra gearset or an all out sti tranny swap we'll see. but yea like said it could of been the first owner. i have only put 13k onit so far soooooooo. i dunno i have a tbe, uppipe, header, intake

 

Well i drive like i stole my car, also my stock tranny held 7k drops all the time and it had 67k

well i just spoke to my uncle who is working on my car; not good i ripped 2nd off both gears, i guess there are two gears on each gear???!!?? i have no clue. any way pretty much i am beat for a little while, im not sure if im going to get a 05 tranny or get a ra gearset.......
