Default Mileage question

Hey,

so i'm thinking about taking a wrx as a partial trade for my car, however, it has very high miles on it.

My question is what kind of miles do they get out of them? Not talking about all the variables of driving styles, mods, etc. Just on the average, what kinda life do they have before components start failing?

WRX's really haven't been in the US very long, but I know I've seen other (non-modified) Subarus with 180,000 mles on them still running strong.

If you take care of the motor (i.e. change the oil every 3k miles, change the timing belt, v-belts, etc when needed, all that stuff) they'll last hella long. I'm talking like over 200k miles.

Modded, well, it depends on the mods, on how it was driven (alot of auto-x? lots of highway miles?), and how well the owner took care of it. If you're interested, have a compression and leak-down test done at the least, to determine the piston ring integrity. And an oil analysis probably wouldn't hurt either.

I have 125k+ miles on mine and I am needing to just replace my O2's and probably idle air valve controler. Other than that, replaced timing belt at 98k, stock clutch/stock rotors and pads at 115k. Oh, and the AC needed to be recharged. Other than normal wear tear no big problems.
