Default will i get 300whp with this setup

i am trying to get 300whp. i called pdxtuning and he talked me into getting the 18G tdo6. he told me that would be about $1000. cobb AP for $650, new wrx blue injectors (810cc) are $125 and a walbro fuel pump. and crucial racing up pipe for $210. a local shop near me is going to build me a custom fmic for $700. Right now i have a turboback, ebc, intake.

I would like to know if you guys think 300whp is reasonable with these mods. Also, what your guy's thoughts were on this turbo setup, i was lookin at the FP green but the guy at pdxtuning said that i would probably have to get the STi tranny and rear diff to handle that turbo because it would push me to about 350whp. is this true? also, is it better to get all of this stuff and have pdxtuning just reflash my ecu or get the AP? any advise is appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Yes 300whp is possible on that turbo. It might be a bit laggy on an EJ20 since youre looking at the TD06 housing, though.

the cobb is the way to go.

you will have a little lag with your 2.0 and the 18G but it wont be that bad. have you thought of doing fuel rails and the TGC deletes?

since you in fl i would heat wrapp everything and use lots of water wetter (safe side)

perhaps a super 16G??

if you go 18G, why not the smaller CH of the TD05??

thanks for the info.

Brewpubeaver, what fuel rails would you suggest to get and why, not really familar with fuel management? also what are TGC deletes?

and esseme, a smaller CH like the tdo5, the guy at pdxtuning said it would be less likely to reach 300whp.

Another question, i am running 15.5psi on a greddy profec b spec 2. the guy at pdxtuning said that i am leaning my car out and i will soon reach detonation, true? Another question is should i get rid of the ebc once i get the AP because it sets the boost. i have an injen short ram intake, the guy at pdxtuning said that is a bad intake and to get a perrin or turboxs, true?

What is the major first thing i should get?

Thanks is advance, appreciate the help a lot

Dont put too much stock in dyno numbers. There are way too many variables for them to be a good representation of a cars true power. If you want that look at trap speeds in the 1/4 mile.

Id say ditch the ebc and get an AP. You can run an OTS map now for detonation protection, and then get a custom map when you upgrade the turbo.

I'll go out on a limb and say that the "TGC deletes" are the tumble generators. People have said you gotta take off the intake manifold to do fuel rails, so if its off, yeah, do those at the same time. They sit below the intake mani and the heads, where the injectors sit.

We've had a number of VF34 ($900), FMIC ($1050), JDM Pink injectors ($430), Ecutek ($850) cars go over 300 whp. That's with my "100,000 mile" tune of 20 psi peak, 16 psi at 6k rpm and 14.5 psi at 7k rpm.

Generally they are near 300 wlb-ft and just over 300whp. Or add meth to that setup and get 330 wlb-ft and 320+ whp EVERY day. The meth would make it more consistent, but with an ej20, possibly shorten the ring life.

thanks for the info. i eventually want to get the cobb ap protuned. i have heard good things about scott siegal i think, can he protune for a turbo that is not on the map of a AP? all the maps i have seen on an AP are for IHI VF turbos and different injectors than i want. Another question is that the guy at pdxtuning said that my short ram injen intake is a bad intake to have, it leans my car out, true? If so what is a good short ram to get.

Also, this is a daily driver car, adding meth to it, first, what is meth. would that shorten the life of my engine/ turbo.

If i buy all the parts at once besides the AP and custom fmic:
18G tdo6 or td05(not decided)
crucial racing up pipe
wrx blue injectors
short ram if needed to replace injen short ram
walbro fuel pump
^^anything else needed for a complete turbo setup as i have mentioned above.

^^what shop would you reccommend that could install this for me and tune at the sametime that way my car is down less time, also i live in the bradenton area so the closer the better, but i want to get the best tuning and install, so willing to drive? could scott siegal do all of this for me or the other protuner?

thanks a lot in advance
