well i keep mulling over my turbo options and it looks like it will end up the FP green. I like the price, performance, and ive heard nothing but good things about it. I am curious though as to whether or not you guys think its too big for a TMIC? Im concerned about heat soak but i may have a solution to that, we'll see. I just want to hear your opinions on the matter. My new HP target is about 300-350whp. And yes i will have new gears and all neccessary upgrades to support that.
If your goals is only 300-350whp on a 2.0l, there are quite a few turbos that can do it with a top mount. Deadbolt's 18g, 20g, and maybe the big 16g. As Alex mentioned, the 1820 will do it at a higher cost though. I would use alcohol injection for the added safety and power gains. NASIOC has plenty of info on cars and their set-ups putting doing certain power ranges. It is a good place to research. I just think the Green on a 2.0l is going to be very very laggy and have a very small area under the power curve. Cars with smaller turbos and better power curves could out perform the Green. Just my $.02!
