Just thought I'd make a quick post to hopefully convince some of you Subaru guys to come autocross next Sunday in St. Pete. Last month was my first time and it was a blast. It cost $30 to enter I got 8 runs on the course (2 were reruns due to timing equipment malfunction.) There were 3 STi's total and at least one bug eye WRX. It would be cool to have more Subaru's out there for some friendly competition. The classing sytem is very simple and nothing like the SCCA rules. I'll be there. Was hoping to have some alignment changes in by then but doubt that'll happen in time. Oh well...

 

Alright, I'm a hypocrite. I won't be attending the Sunrider's event after all. Instead, I am going to go to the BMW event in Brookesville. Others have said that you get more runs and the runs are longer (previous FTD times have been anywhere from 50 seconds to 1min 15 seconds, depending on the layout). Who knows, maybe it will suck and I'll be back at Sunrider's next month, but I'd be cheating myself if I didn't at least go check it out. I hope there is at least one other Suby up there in Brookesville. I'll tell you guys how it was.

Why stop by and watch? Get your ass out there and have fun. There is nothing to be nervous or worried about and you will find that everyone is extremely helpful. Like I said, last month was my first time ever running my car and I had a blast.
