Default Need details on how to crush the BPV

I installed my new intercooler...so far its working out great. Only problem, my stock BPV won't hold the increased boost pressue. How do you crush the BPV/BOV? From what I've been able to gather you just wack the round portion with a hammer. There has to be a more detailed way than this...how deep do you indent it in...anyone have more specifics and pics?

i would save you the trouble and just buy a used one.

but if you really want to take the risk.

use a ball pean hammer and dent in the center of the by pass valve. thus it will compress the spring more. so you can in theory hold more boost.

personally i think this is a very Gehto way to do it. and you could do some real bad shit to your system if done wrong.

make it work right the first time. buy a aftermarket one.

Here's a long thread on it from nasioc. My experience with it is on pg 7.

+1. The risk of compressor surge should be worth the money alone
