Default Rear Strut Bar Question

I just ordered front and rear strut bars for my 2004 WRX and my question is..

Does anyone know where I can find directions for installing the rear one, or at the least a brief run down.. I know how to install the bar its just a matter of needing to know how to get to the rear strut to do the install.

All I can find is instructions for the wagon.

Thanks,

Mike

IIRC you have to remove the rear seatback and they're right there.

Yep, two bolts for the lower seat part. Then 3 or 4 for the back part. Then you will see the top mount of the struts. 3 bolts each, that's where the bar goes.

I posted the WRX shop manual on a link on the Spring Installtion thread, could come in handy.

Huh? It wasn't that difficult.

Take out the back seat (the bottom comes out first). Seperate the collars that go on the sides of the bar from the actual bar (if they come apart, mine did). Take the nuts off the tophats, put the collar on, put nuts back on and torque to ~14 ft-lbs. Go in the trunk and put the center bar on. Put seat back in, be careful to get the seatbelts correct. Enjoy car FTW.

Hardest part for me was getting the torque wrench to the rear nuts.
