Default 2005 center console

Anyone know how to remove the center console trim from an 05 WRX? I need to remove the radio, how does the framing come off. The 04 used to pop right off but I don't know how to do it on this new dash!

Unscrew the shiftknob and lift up on the back part of the console, it will come right up.

right , then you loosen the 2 srews and the bottom of the radio frame pops out but the top edge of the frame feels secure and won't just pop out. I am talking about the trim around the radio closest to the A/C vents.

Just pull it one corner at a time. It will come out, you just need to use a little force.
